Final Answer: one final question

First off, thank you all for your patience and assistance, I could NOT have gotten through all the choices and possibilites without you.

I've decided to go with the SEAMLESS USA buygpsnow.com package BUT I have one final question...

is the GPS receiver (BT-338?) in this combo pack: http://www.buygpsnow.com/ocn5-specia...-map-6008.html

the same as this GPS receiver (BT-339?): http://www.buygpsnow.com/oncourse-si...abled-474.html

If they are different, is it that big of a difference? They appear to both be SIRFIII the only diff I can even find in their specs is one is listed as running for 17+ hrs and the other for 15+ hrs...

THANKS AGAIN GUYS!

The BT-339 is a private label re badged BT-338. Semson's private labels it as the iTrek M3. All these units are identical beneath the skin.

Actually the 339 "might" be better. IIRC, older 338s may not have WAAS enabled. I think all the ones being sold now have the newer firmware but you never know. The 339s all have the WAAS enabled firmware.

yeah I looked harder and under the "IN THE BOX" section it says BT-339 receiver so hopefully that's the one I'll be getting, otherwise it's false advertising... :)

I should've spent the extra $4 and gone with the 2day shipping instead of 3... grrr lol
