BT GPS - Smartphone or Pocket PC?

I just purchased a pocket pc but im wondering if i should have purchased a smart phone.

I have an axim x51, and was just about 5 minutes from buying a BT GPS Reciever & Software but now im wondering if i should upgrade my cingular nokia phone to a smart phone.

I know that some of the smart phones have BT, but is it only BT for headsets, or do they actually work with GPS too.

Im new to the whole Pocket PC / Smartphone / GPS Reciever thing but what are some of the differences, i know this sounds dumb to ask this question after I purchased a pocket pc, but honestly i didnt know there were "smart phone", like i said, i sound stupid, but im learning here.

Could someone tell me some advantages/dis-advantages of owning either a pocket pc or smartphone, which is better!!!!!!!!

Thank You in advance.

I don't know if "better" is the word I would use. Personally I want my phon eot be a phone and my Pocket PC to be a pocket PC. I personally like the seperation of tasks....and I jsut don't think I would enjoy reading e-books on a phone sized screen...so in my mind its about personal desires....and likes. My phone does have BT and while it can interact with other BT devices I use it mostly for the hands free connection to my ear piece.......and occasioanly to synch with my laptop to update contacts etc....

Well, there is also the PDAphone like a XV6600 or XV6700. Just to add to your options above.

ive got the older model of this phone ( http://www.nokia.ca/english/products/6682/6682.asp ) and im very happy with it. Its got bluetooth so you can connect it to a bluetooth gps reciever. It runs TomTom navigator just fine and it can also run Destinator SP (those are GPS programs). If you just need GPS then i would get that phone, just keep in mind that it does not have a touch screen and uses symbian OS rather then Windows Mobile, but there are still plenty of programs out for it.
