Support at semsons.com recommended the following combination for my Axim: i.Trek CF GPS and iGuidance. Looks like I would get the vent mount included for a package price of about $244 I believe. No external antenna. Would I need one??

Any comments on this package (which just might be my birthday present)????

There is no need to get an external antenna. I bought Holux CF GPS with external antenna but I only use it for once.

You probably want to buy a car charger as well if you plan to use your GPS for more than 4 hours.

Personally, I am very happy with the performace of Holux CF GPS. i.Trek is just a rebadge version. So, the performace should be good.

I have both Mapopolis and iGuidance. Both software are very solid. I think iGuidance has a slight edge though. However, it is just my personal opinion.

I just got the i.Trek too...

I got the cupholder mount which sits low in my Civic, I get 6 Sat's
no problem. I was also thinking of getting the antenna not for use in my car but for travel and rentals. So far, it looks like I don't need it.

PS. I'm very happy with Semsons and would recommend them for online shopping!
