Question How do you save TomTom 5.21 in X5 memory and just use maps on memory card please?

Hi, I would like to keep TomTom 5.21 or some of it saved to the internal memory on my X5, and just use the memory card for the maps, as I want to get away with using a 128 mb sd card. Could someone tell me how to do this if it is possible please. :approve:

Not sure as my TomTom is all on my SD card, I think the maps *NEED* to be located within the programs map subdirectory no matter what. Anybody else know?

Hi, Tomtom 5.21 yes it is definately running, I have rom version ao5 and windows 2003 and it works fine. It will not work with the latest version of checkpoint 5.2 though, but it is fine on its own, perfect in fact! That is the latest Tomtom version do not forget. I can post some pics if you like

I have TomTom v. 5.21 runnning in main memory on WM5 on my X51v, with maps on a memory card. Just choose to place the maps on the memory card when you are asked. I believe you can also copy the map folders to the memory card straight from the install disc, TomTom will find them. Maps need to be in the root folder on the memory card.

On second thought, I think the maps are in CAB format on the install disc, so I guess they have to be installed.
