Import by county

Will any one of the assorted GPS software packages import roads by county selection?
Instead of Grid select or zoom in until the prog can handle the size.

iGuidance can create maps based on city, and then you determine it's size by the radius - 25-150 mile radius. Or you can do northern/southern for CA or TX, and the entire state for the others.

I'm pretty sure Mapopolis can create maps based on county. Not sure about TomTom or OCN.

CitySelect for North America from Garmin can do this. See screen capture here. However, Garmin mapping software generally requires one to use their Garmin GPSr. One of the annoying quirks with Garmin. Anyways, just letting you know that this can be done with the Garmin software for PPC.

In Mapopolis the maps can be "activated" by selection in a menu or by clicking on the icon on a state "major roads" map, or the "consecutive" maps can be opened automatically if you select that option.
Try it for free: the software is free (including the regular updates), the fully functional demo maps, including the voice navigation, work for - I believe - 9 days. Then you decide if you buy the maps or not. Can not be more fair than that.
