Bluetooth GPS no longer visible after "sleep"

Hi

I have the Dell BT-309 and an Axim X51v. They are successfully paired and I can use both the Dell Navigation software and Gpspanel2. However, whenever I put the Axim to sleep by pressing the power button, the GPS connection is lost. I am not doing anything to the GPS unit when I do this (i.e. leaving it on). When I awaken the Axim both GPS apps can't see the GPS unit -- they report no sattelites found (although they don't say anything about not being able to connect to the GPS.) If I soft reset the Axim everything works normally again.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Just an update on this problem: if I kill the nav program with the switcher bar and restart it, the GPS works again also.

I've found if just refresh the BT service it is usually sufficient to re-establish the connection (WM5)
