GPS / Canyoning / BIG cities
Could someone (as many people as possible) answer me this contrived question.
I always hear that GPS has poor performance in 'canyon'/big city environments - where the visible sky is particularly limited. This problem is compounded by reflection/absorbtion of signal among buildings modifying the time it takes for a signal to reach ones self.
I am aware that many GPS devices also now have hardware to compensate for such drift and interfearence.
Can some people give their experience on gps performanece accuracy in a big city...
Can you get an accurate fix when cold starting on Lexington St?
While I do live in a capital city and have a GPS. Melbourne Australia simply does not compare to Hong Kong/Chicago/New York/London.
Thankyou in advance :approve:
