Not possible unfounded slander!

I think Aximsite needs to be careful about publishing a possible unfounded slander, so maybe this thread needs to disappear, the the OP use more apprioriate means to recover their perceived losses.
It's none of my business really, but as this thread has got posted, we all have a vested interest in maintain high standards in Aximsite.

Good morning bryanbellis,
I appreciate your viewpoint but don't agree for these reasons:
- Reporting about the receipt of a defective product and not being able to get it replaced is not "publishing possible unfounded slander". I personally do not appreciate the aggravation of receiving something defective and then having to go through the trouble of returning it. And then to find out the seller will not honor the problem is doubly troubling.
- I love Aximsite and would never post anything that is not legitimate. I took the proper steps of going to Arkon Resources and BuyGPSnow.com first. It is my understanding that forums like this are designed to share information and solve problems.
Have a great day; thanks,
Paul :approve:

I would just like to post that BUYGPSNOW has been extremely helpful to me, when i purchased my GPSlim236 last month(ish) i received a defective unit. I went to the forums here and in no time flat JOEKEE quickly helped me out. From the pics, and info i described he quickly got the ball rolling on my rma and i had a new, working receiver a few days later. I have been very satisfied with BUYGPSNOW that my next purchase and my friends next purchases with be with them.

I guess this shows that everyone has their own ideas about what makes great customer service. I had a similar problem with a bad GPS from them, and while I got it returned and credited which is a good thing. The fact that it took almost 2 weeks to get it done and after a week and purchase of another unit from Semsons which worked perfectly and they still claimed that the unit they sent was working fine. This was definately not my idea of good service. Just glad that we have other choices of places to pruchase.
On another note, that free Arkon mount leaves a bit to be desired. I have an old Powered/amplified Arkon CM583 that I have used for 2+ years and it's worked fantastically. They do have quality products in the Arkon line.

Hi dynamo04 . Whilst really not wanting to get into a debate that doesn't usefully lead anywhere, my comment was was based on the original title for this thread i.e. without the word "alleged" up front. As it originally was the title was a statement of fact, rather than opinion, and certainly having used the product for 30 days, and describing it as Dead on Arrival wasn't quite accurate to the supplier. But, each has a view, and yours is tainted by your experience and expectations.
I hope I'm not wrong in my statement about the title, as I don't remember the "alleged" being there originally. Do please correct me if I'm wrong and accept my appology.

To the OP: why, given your claim that the product worked only 30 days, did you wait 4 months to contact buygpsnow about it?
For the record, I have purchased twice previously from buygpsnow and received great service, and nothing I have read in this thread has convinced me not to continue to do business with them.

Hi bryanbellis; thanks for your response.
You're correct, the word "alleged" was not part of my original post, it must have been added by the forum administrator. It represents my perception of the company's customer service; other have obviously received better service.
The phrase "Dead on Arrival" was also not from me; that was the statement made by BuyGPS.com about the warranty for this Mount. I believe that means there is no warranty?
Thanks again,
Paul

Hi beernutz; thanks for your response.
Just for clarification; I didn't wait 4 months to contact them.
I left the product sealed in the original container for 3 months because I had bought a Seidio G4500S to use on my primary vehicle.....after 3 months I mounted the Arkon on a secondary vehicle; that's when I realized it was defective.....realized immediately that it didn't rachet left/right correctly but tried to use it for the next 30 days anyway.....then I contacted BuyGPSnow.com.
Thanks,
Paul

Not impressed with posting personal info of a customer in a public forum without permission. Regardless of the un/reasonableness of the customer, it is unprofessional. It is also in violation of PIPEDA and SOX.

I think I have to aggree with Noisy Crow about the public posting of the information provided by a customer in an email. I have not bought from BuyGPSnow.com but I am sure this is not the only customer complaint they have encountered. It's kinda of a basic rule of business, if you don't like customer complaints, don't get in a business that has customers! I believe they might have violated their own privacy policy by posting the information. I would say that from a legal stand point the company was probably well within their rights to offer nothing at all. The big tort liability, most likely, was in the posting of the information, in a public forum, without permission. Why didn't joekee delete the private info? Why didn't joekee post all his private information? Why do all of the emails from the company have a salutation of Sales Team? Are they afraid to divuldge their private info to customers? Shame on you joekee and BuyGPSnow.com, not for the original customer service issue but for the handling of it on this forum by violating one of the most basic of email and internet privacy concerns.

Paul: My apology for posting your full name and email address in the public forums. I have no intention to do that and absolutely do not meant to share this info with others and it is just a pure mistake on my side. I have immediately removed your full name and your email address.
RND: We do welcome customer comments and complains. Any good or bad feedback will be considered and use to improve our service to consumers.
However, this specific post is an attempt to damage our company’s reputation and this damage could be very costly. So, my goal was to tell the truth on how we have tried to work with Mr. Paul.

joekee your apology I take as very sincere and I am encourged you offered it. I am by no means suggesting that your company was not sliced and diced a bit, I just felt the information you gave out on the forum was a little over the top, I will accept that it was not intended to harm and may not have been thought out all the way so I considered the matter settled and that you and your company had no improper motive in that regard. I must say that I'll bet that dynamo04 opens his products sooner the next time, so that a problem like this won't get so old before action is taken. And lest we loose sight of the fact that we are talking about a cost equal to a movie ticket and a cold drink. I know just speaking for myself, I have asked for my money back a few times after a bad movie and they just laughed at me. ( they just show em they don't make em)

Sigh....you know what folks...if Dynamo hadn't brought it to a public forum, Joe Kee wouldn't have had to post the full emails showing the facts. By posting to a public forum Dynamo invited the response. Yes, it was a mistake to include his personal info, but he has deleted it.
Bottom line, if Dynamo didn't want a public fight, he shouldn't have taken his gripe public. Joe Kee has every right to post his side of the situation.

Well judging from what I am reading they are very responsive. I am glad to have read this post, because I just spent $100 on buygpsnow website. I recently purchased 2 days ago Monday 6/25 I think the legendary on course bluetooth gps receiver which I see such great reviews for. I am hoping they are reading my post :) and make sure my product delivers which of course I am sure they will as always. :)

RND, I think you should give Joekee a bit of a break. This is not Walmart or Microsoft we are talking about. This is a small company trying to compete in a VERY competitive and fast changing market. It was an honest mistake (which he promptly corrected). I believe they do a great job, given the circumstances. (As I work in a similar situation in the same market, I believe I am qualified to make that judgement.) How comfortable do you feel about some Joe Blow in India or Pakistan having full access to your Dell credit account?
Hell, I just had my military records released to the public due to a government employee taking a laptop home and having it stolen. My SSN, DOB, name, address, service history.....you name it. What recourse do I have? NONE! Besides, it you really want to keep your information private, stay off the internet. As a matter of fact, don't have a bank account, don't ever get a credit card, don't get a drivers license. Because ALL of this information is accessible if you know the right connections.
Just my two cents.
