Upgrading to iGuidance v3.0 -- anyone hear anything?

So it is July 10th, and their upgrade page has yet to be updated (Ok I know it is still early in the day), but I was wondering if anyone had heard anything about the upgrade for existing customers.

It is kind of annoying that they have been selling it for 3 weeks now as new, but not a peep for us existing customers

noda, nothing, not an email or whisper..... yes its early but i would like to hear something, we have all waited quitely and nice for 3 weeks. man i hope i hear something from inav or these forums today.

How much do you expect the upgrade version to cost?

What do you need in order to complete the upgrade? Do you need a serial key? I lost mine! But I do have version 2.1.3 installed though.

It will be free if you bought it recently (don't remember the exact timeframe) + maybe s/h. You would need a serial key (and perhaps proof/date of purchase) to get the "Free" upgrade I imagine though.

If you look at their update page:
"In addition, if a newer upgrade (w/ new map) is released within two-month period after your iGuidance purchase (based on invoice date) from our authorized resellers, you may receive the new upgrade free of charge plus $9 - $14 shipping/processing fee via USPS 1st class mail."

Though, they gave people with 2.1.3 a purchase date of I believe about the beginning of January or the end of Decemember to now to qualify for the free upgrade stating it is a one time deal because the release kept getting pushed out.

and
"You only need to email or fax us a copy of your original regular-priced iGuidance purchase ONCE for our permanent record when you register your first iGuidance purchase online. Once verified, you are automatically qualified for future upgrade discounts and/or free updates (if available) without providing further proofs of purchase unless requested by us otherwise. Only the original purchaser or owner is qualified to receive technical support services and upgrade/update offers."

Yes it is just $9 if you purchased 2.1.3 from 12/19/05-6/23/06

I just sent them my money then quickly followed up with an email with my paypal transaction number and copy of my ig purchase reciept. hopefully with all that i wont have any probs.

I think, is also important to add in the Paypal notes, information about the purchase transaction. Like price, order number and date of purchase. I even put tracking number of package. Just in case. Ji, ji. Good luck.

For those of you who sent payment via Paypal--Are you outside of the U.S.?

Just wondering because it seemed the only option for U.S. residents is to send a check. It would be nice to send paypal and not have to mail an envelope.

Nope. I am in USA. Basically, US buyers have the payment options of paying the 9 bucks by mail or using Paypal. Outside US buyers have the payment options of using the online store or Paypal as well. I think, that's how it works. Thanks.
