You can create your own voice sounds, check the folder that contains them and edit/create new ones using the open source program Audacity. All you have to do is find a girl or boy with a voice you like and if you do a good job share it with the rest of the world. I am currently working on this but with my heavy accent I doubt anyone would like my voice prompts.

Hmmm. You make it sound too easy. How many voice files are there. I would assume alot. English is very difficult because the way we say syllabols differently. You would think there would be a lot.
I personally don't mind the Iguidance voice. It works fine. And I've heard much worse. Those Magellian commercials sound hidious. I'm not sure about TomTom.
Couldn't you convert TomTom voices to iGuidance? That would be good.
Then open it up in a sound editor such as Audacity, or even the built in Windows one, and chop off the end!
And I don't think you can just transfer TomTom voices into iGuidance. Looking around my Axim, I don't think TomTom simply stores them in wav files.
iGuidance voices are fine with me! I didn't test TomTom yet, just got it today, so I can't use it because the GPS is in my mom's car, so I can't complete the setup process.

Forgot about that site, they unblocked me now but I'm done getting all the files I needed going to edited them and see how it goes, lol some of them sounded a bit Robotic on the Voice I used at AT&T (I used Lauren) So I kinda had to use another voice to better place it, I hope it wont sound too bad.
Wow Doing a Small test here sounds SOOOO Much better then the Default Voice, These are so Much Smoother to the tone, I will try and get a small Video up soon, but I have to boost some of the sounds as they are a Tad Soft some stuff like Waiting for the GPS Signal and Turn Left and Right.
