I don't know the hard numbers but I'd guess that the majority of non "v" sales is to enterprise, whose users are unlikely to be posting here. The "v" model is the choice of the vast majority of individual buyers, more likely to visit here. I wouldn't be surprised if the "v" model exceeded 70% of all x51 sales.
BTW, I owned a "foolproof" X5 and in it's day as a current model, it was far from foolproof. If you go back through the archives here, you'll find more than enough bitching about nagging issues and evil Dell's inability to fix them to remind you of...here and now. If you've decided on a x51 and price isn't an issue, go for the x51v. Cheaping out will only lead to buyers remorse. VGA is more than worth the additional $$$ and potential additional bug or 2.
