Picky GPS buyer (Deluo)

Ok i am thinking about the Deluo CF GPS, had the intention of using the mouse one but i read here it is not as good. Now I havent seen any pics of the CF version on the Axim. The only CF GPS I saw on the Axim looked like it didnt sit all the way in. Is this true for the Deluo also? It really looked kind of out of place :(

I have reviewed both the mouse and CF card on this site (with pictures), and both worked well. I didn't see any difference in quality or speed of fixes for them. If you will be using external power most of the time, the mouse is a good way to go. It does, however, require power from the power cord that comes with it, so if you want to use GPS without external power, then a CF card is better.

Define "bad fit." The antenna has to extend beyond the case to get a clear view of the sky, so the CF card has to be long enough to fit in the slot, then leave the antenna outside. Most of the ones I have used fit fairly well.

Look here at the bottom... you see that it looks like it doesnt go all the way in the Axim or is that just not seated properly? I know the black part is supposed to be out since that is the antenna but you see the metal part showing? Like I said this is picky me being completely anal about...

Not all CF slots are of equal depth. Therefore the card manufacturers have to make the cards long enought to fit the deepest slot they expect. There was a CF Camera whose card was too short for the Axim, so they had to completely reengineer the card to get it long enough. Ok, with that background, ALL cf cards (GPS, WiFi, Camera, whatever), will have that little bit extra.

I'm glad you had this little conversation.
I ordered the mouse one last week and was somewhat hoping I hadn't made a mistake as alcohol was involved. But looks like I still had my sences about me. :crooked:
