Question Anyone Know About .sis Files?!?

I have the software for Tom Tom 5 and all the the maps load fine onto my Axim but the install file is a .SIS file which isn't recognised by my pc or PDA. All I can find out about .SIS seems to suggest they are smartphone files - does this mean I cannot use this software on my Axim? Pretty fed up as I have bought the GPS

.sis files are installation files for Symbian OS devices , like Nokia mobile Phones (N70, 6680 etc)
They wont work on a ppc w/ WM
