iblue and waas opinions

Hello everyone,

Im thinking of getting a bluetooth gps unit for my x51v. I road trip alot and love to hike, but I would also like to so some geocacheing.

I've been looking at the iblue with the new v4 firmware, I've read good things about it. But this unit is not WAAS enabled, but I dont know if I need it.

I would just like peoples opinions on how important they think WAAS is and if it works often, or if its difficult to get a WAAS fix. Also How there iblue has performed in while hiking.

Thanks

WAAS is not important when you are driving. However, from what I have read, the added accuracy does help those who hike or geocache.

BTW.... the iTrek M5 unit is similar to the iBlue but with WAAS function.....

Hope this helps ~

GPS201, in my sig, discusses the issue of WAAS and why it may or may not be that critical to you.
