X5 to Pharos 525

I was thinking about upgrading to the Pharos Traveler 525. It has builtin in wifi, BT and GPS.

My current setup is x5 adv, wm03, tomtom Navigator usa 2004 (cabled car kit), and an ambicom wifi card.

My reasons are as follows:

everything built in (no extra cards or bunches of cords)
wm05 features

Couple questions

1) anyone have the Travelor 525 already that can comment on it
2) anyone who has it, have you installed tomtom on it (Some people do not think the Ostia s/w is good. I have not any issues with tomtom but have never tried Ostia to compare)

thanks

The Pharos GPS 525 is a great little unit once you get used to the 2.8" screen. Make sure this isn't a problem for you before you buy. I can deal with it but others feel the screen is too small to use in a car. I use the Ostia software that came with the unit but you can bring whatever Navigation software you need. The unit is the same as Qtek G100 and people have posted on gpspassion their experiences with the G100 & GPS 525 and their favorite software.

Thanks for the info. I went to Comp Usa last night because you can buy the unit after rebate til 8/31 or $379.00 (not so at other retailers). Screen was a little too small for me, but I could probably get used to it. Mostly, even though it was light and compact, the build felt cheap to me (although so does my wifes treo 90 and that is still blasting away) based on the asking price. I have not given up on it yet because I was impressed with all the included options. You don't see many devices like that. (FYI-I was also checking on accessories for it before I left and saw that Boxwave has some nice aluminum and silicone cases for it)

Personal opinions vary. I came away with a different opinion. You could also order a Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox N560 which I also own and maybe it will make a more positive impression upon you.
