GPS receiver issue - protocol?
I have iGuidance 3.0 installed on my Axim x51v, and i am trying to pair it up with TomTom bluetooth receiver (9821x), made by Leadtek. The Axim sees the receiver, but the iGuidance doesnt get a signal from it. Is it because the receiver's chip is incompatible with iGuidance - it would only work with TomTom software? From what i gathered, iGuidance will work withany GPS receivers that are based on the NMEA, and TomTom is a SiRFStar IIe/LP chipset. are they mutually exclusive? Please help!

When iGuidance first comes up, does it say "waiting for GPS signal" or do you get an error message to pair the Axim with the GPS receiver?

it works now - i had to play around with port settings in WM5 and iGuidance 3.0 :)

this thread can be locked/deleted.
