I have used MS Streets and Trips as well as Mappoint, and am unhappy with their coverage of newer streets as version updates come out.

Does Mapopolis and other GPS map software suffer from the same lack of street update syndrome?

One example is a subdivision that has existed in the Houston, Texas area for over 3 years, but has not showed up on any of the map software from Microsoft from 2000 and still does not exist on the 2003 release.

My version of Mapopolis has streets that went in near me in the last year or so; it is much more up to date than my Delorme software.

You have MapPoint 2003? Wowsers...
I have MapPoint 2002 and it BLOWS away anything on the PPC...but is not practical for driving, so I am digging as hard as I can to find the PPC GPS software that is the most full featured.

I actually use AGPS with Mappoint to get instantaneous GPS updates and voice prompts which makes it rock.

I am using the newest Mapopolis maps(NC for v4) and have found that it is also missing quite a few newer streets here in the Bay Area..so your Mileage may vary...

Actually Mappoint 2003 has not yet shipped. I have Mappoint 2002, and the features really rock (minus missing streets).

I have Streets and Trips thru version 2003 though. I imagine Mappoint will use the same updates in Streets & Trips as done in the past. (Some streets were supposedly updated, but not that I have noticed).

It is unfortunate to see the hear of the same issues with Mapopolis to some extent. Maybe I will stick with Mappoint.

I would like to know more about the AGPS. Got a link?
