Dell GPS Bundled Software

Hello All;

I searched the forums and could not find it. What software does Dell use for it's GPS software? They have a great deal today on their Canadian website, but I want to make sure the software is good. The offer ends today (10 days of deals...for anyone interested)

Thanks for your speedy reply!

P.S. I phoned Dell, and THEY DIDN'T KNOW !!!

NavTeq maps...custom interface...

i kinda wished the buttons on the dell software were bigger, i sometimes accidentally hit a wrong command, but its quite fast, i have Destinator6[Des6 is slower to find a route, but larger buttons]

Thanks for your quick reply...I saw the maps are from NavTeq, so the actual software to run the program is proprietary to Dell? I would have thought they would have paid to use someone else's software (OnCourse, tomtom, etc)...so overall, are you happy with the Dell GPS bundle?

Thanks!

I'm using the Dell NavTeq bundle and like it a lot, I've only used it locally, but it has been very accurate thus far. The family and I will be doing a Disneyland trip in the near future, so I'm sure I'll find out how good it works between Washington and southern California.

It's not proprietary to Dell - it's an OEM version of Netropa's Intellinav software, which iGuidance also uses.

Thanks, that is exactly the information I was looking for! I was going to order it during the "Dell days", but I waited too long...oh well, I guess I will wait for next time.

Dell kinda tweaked their software differently from the original maker

i'm satisfied with Dell's software.. no GPS software has all the needs i need, i just have to compromise a bit...
