seidio g4850s sound sucks :(

i just got my seidio g4850s mount and hooked it up with my axim x51v and iguidance 3 and the sound on it really sucks...i can barely hear the voice commands while playing music at a low level at the same time...i have to turn off the music completely just to hear the commands clearly...is there any way i can connect my axim to my car stereo cheaply for better sound? I really cant afford the car kit right now so is there any alternatives ..perhaps a fm transmitter might do the trick? if so ..any recommendations?

Changing connections isn't going to change the relative volume settings between the music player and the navigation software. Just wanted you to know...

i was thinking of gettin a new in-dash cd deck with aux-in to connect the pda....wouldnt it be easier to hear the voice commands through-out all the speakers in my car instead of just the speakers from the mount?

The audio should sound better, but the relative level of the sound for each application will remain the same. So, if the problem is that with the music comfortable the Nav software can't be heard, that same thing will happen through the aux-in. It may be better because the sound could be larger for both, but if the music covers up the voice now, it will then, too. Maybe you can get a set of earphones and just try that to see what effect that has on the situation before you invest in a new in-dash deck. If it's still bad on a good set of earphones, it'll be bad on the in-deck.
