Anyone tried Delorme Street Atlas 2007?
I was a Delorme Street Atlas user, but opted for the Dell Navigation GPS software when I got my X51V because of the very poor reviews I'd seen for the PDA implementation of Delorme's software. Has anyone tried the new Delorme Street Atlas USA 2007 software on their Axim? They claim great things. I'd sure like to hear about it...

I liked Street Atlas up to version 8 and after that I told them I would never buy it again. I even refused a chance for their new versions for free.
Have you looked here?

Tom Tom and Mapopolis and iGuidance are three great gps programs.

I just got it
I bought Delorme Street Atlas 2007 and am giving it a go. So far, one problem that came up immediately is the inability to sync automatically. As far as I can tell, the program sets up the mobile maps in the correct directory, but my Axim never syncs it.
I figured out a workaround for now, but this will be a deal breaker if I can;t get it to do it "as advertised."
The PC portion of the program is very good, and the maps are fairly accurate for my area (central Virginia and North Carolina).
I have not tried the GPS yet...my fingers are crossed...
By the way, I have an Axim X51v and Windows XP on my PC (also using hotsynch 4.2)

I use the DeLorme Blue Logger with SA2007 Plus and Topo 5. They work nicely for the money. I seldom transfer cutters from PC to PDA using synchronization. I cut my maps and save them to the same folder on my PC. When I'm finished with that, I transfer them to the CF card folder by pulling the card and sticking it in the card reader attached to my PC. From my experience and reading others posts, that is faster anyway. I agree that the Blue Logger's battery life is excellent. I think it easily lasts 6 hrs on a full charge, maybe 8. My only complaint is that it sometimes drops the BlueTooth signal with my PDA. I then have to stop the PDA log and start a new one. You also have to learn how to turn it on and off by timing it with the blinking lights correctly. Topo5 screen draws of high density contour lines is impressive with WM5 and the A02 ROM on my X50v (better than with A01 under WM2003Se and WM5 wth A01.

Sorry, typo in my reply above. I'm using DeLorme Topo 6, not 5.

I use both SA2007 & Topo USA 6.0
Both programs use the SA2007 tiling & export system. I manually copy the map tiles to my SD cards, putting the Topo & SA files in different directories. Because they use the same tiles & PDA program, you only want to tell the software to use one map set at a time. If there is a tile for the same area in SA & Topo & you have both tile sets activated, you will only see the SA tile (SA tiles have precedence over Topo).
I have seen a minor bug where the Topo map continually redraws when using my Haicomm HI-305III CF GPS. It only does this in a few zoom levels. The workaround is to manually drag the map a bit in any direction; that causes the map to draw once & stops the redraw issue. As soon as you walk/drive off the map, it will redraw again but not have the problem.

I tried to use SA2006HH and Topo 6.0 and never could get the zoom level to go beyond 15. And that was a definite no-no. If I can't get down close to the ground I don't need it.... Now I use BackCountryNavigator for all my Topo maps. I was really hoping that Topo 6 was gonna work.......But, alas......my dreams were crushed. The program was also very jerky and when trying to route it would not stick to the roads.....it would draw straight lines around curves, etc.
