Make sure that ttloader isnt trying to turn on bluetooth. Remove "bt" from the second line of the config file. See readme for more info.
If that doesnt help, I'm afraid ttloader won't work for you - try using MortScript instead.
All ttloader does is it changes the volume, then starts the program and when the program exits, restores the volume back - it is literally 10 lines of code. If that somehow blocks your gps from working, then maybe it is having problems multitasking.

What about A brightness control ?
Hi nivanov,
I just found your tool and it does a great job in my opinion.
How many times I started a drive only to realize my TomTom couldn't speak !!!
For the same reason I think it'd be nice also a brightness control which does exactly the same as the volume one.
It'd be nice also to have in the config file something like
volume=100%
brghtness=80%
in order to allow a user to specify the wanted levels with TomTom
Cheers
Oliver

Very handy, thanks.
I don't suppose there is any chance of creating a Today plug in to launch it to replace the existing TomTom one for completeness is there?

hey everyone. Sorry, EarlOliver, I've been so busy at work, i have no time (and no desire, to be honest, after staring at the screen 10 hours a day), to do any more coding of my own. I'll try to update the loader once I'm not as busy and have a little more free time.

don't worry nivanov
Hi nivanov,
don't worry, we understand you very well (personally I'm in your exact situation).
any update will be welcome whenever you'll have time. You have already solved one of the worst problems everybody has with TT6!!!

Hear-hear!
If you get the time Nivanov perhaps you can include another brightness parameter, namely the "Automatic ON/OFF". Don't know if everybody has this on their PDA, but it's in my iPAQ HX4700 2003SE.
Normally I use Automatic brightness so that it adjusts itself according to the amout of light in the surroundings - BUT when I use TT in my car I always want to disable 'automatic' (e.g. rays of sun might change brightness but this is unwanted).
Again: Superp job !!!

unfortunately I don't think I can do that. This light sensor is an optional piece of hardware, so chances are there's a special driver that talks to Windows Mobile. Things like brightness, volume and bluetooth are all OS function calls, but this one could be different. At any rate, there would be no chance for me to test it, since I don't have a PDA capable of this function.

Hi Nivanov,
I'm excited about this software but it doesn't work on my HP iPaq rx 5915, that has TT built in. Any ideas?

doesnt work? Please elaborate: does it crash? does it not start TomTom? Does it start TomTom but leaves volume unaffected? Please make sure you follow instructions carefully in the readme file and try to provide as much information as possible:
where tomtom executable is located
where tomtom loader executable is located
where loader config file is located
exact contents of the config file
your OS version

Can someone help me with this? I loaded the 2 files, TTLoader.conf and TTLoader.exe into the My Documents folder of my pocket pc. I loaded TomTom 6 onto my SD card. How do I change the TTLoader.conf file to reflect the path to the Tomtom executable?

Hey Steve-o. Please read over readme.txt found in the archive. Put the full path to your TomTom executable (kind of like on your pc, but without the drive letter) on the first line. If you want TTLoader to also turn on your bluetooth, put "bt" on the second line of ttloader.conf
Let me know if this works for you

Pardon my lack of understanding. Here are 2 screenshots of my PPC. Can you tell me what the path is, b/c I can't figure it out? I have TT6 on my SD card.
This one shows TT6 in my storage card
This one shows TT6 in My Device.
I have no idea what I'm doing. I tried your technique several times but have not been successful. I really appreciate your help!
Thanks

So my understanding is that you have TomTom on your SD card and that's where you want to run it from. Try:
\Storage Card\TomTom\TomTom Navigator.exe
It would be usefu to see the contents of your TomTom folder on your SD card. Basically, locate TomTom Navigator.exe and then put the right path as seen above. The path is just a names of folder going from the one on the top to the one that's under the one on the top and so on and so forth. So if in your TomTom folder on your SD card you have a sub-folder called Navigator, your path would be
\Storage Card\TomTom\Navigator\TomTom Navigator.exe
I hope this helps
