Getting ready to buy a GPS bundle if Santa doesn't bring me one and began to wonder: if I have a BT GPS receiver and iGuidance running on both my Axim and my laptop (yes, it has BT) in the car, will the receiver hook up with both at the same time, or does BT not work that way?

No, because the unit is "paired" with a device (and uses a serial protocol), the GPS can only talk to one unit at a time. There are units available which have multiple channels and can talk to multiple devices, but they are not common.
