Mapopolis has announced that they will be stopping software sales for PDA and phones. This is sad. In my opinion, Mapopolis has been the best street navigation program available for the PDA. It has been a first class program that has been accurate and reliable. I've been using it for several years. I don't look forward to switching to one of the contemporary programs. :realmad:
I agree, that is too bad. I'm glad I went with iGuidance recently instead of upgrading the Mapopolis maps. Still, there are things with Mapopolis I prefer, but that's moot now.
I thought big news was ahead when Ris left. He hinted at a new direction. I have since downloaded all the maps before my subscription expires.
Now the questions are where did Ris go and what company is Mapopolis developing for? If the mapping technology used by Mapopolis is being incorporated into a new product, it would be well worthwhile knowing. In my opinion, they have the best routing system around.
