Help! On the road, GPS not working

Recently upgraded my x50v to an x51v. I have an OnCourse BT-339 GPS unit. I had forgotten how to set it up, found a web site elsewhere that explained how to type in "0000" as the "key" for the GPS to make a bluetooth connection, etc.

Anyway, I'm using Mapopolis, and all I can get is a GPS status of "running/no fix". Googled it and can't find an answer. Can someone here help me start diagnosing the problem or direct me somewhere to ask?

Thanks.

Not sure what to check. When I created the new Outbound BT connection, I told it to use COM 7. In the Mapopolis settings, I told it to use COM 7.

Is there anything else to check?

Found the manual online at Buy GPS Now

Try pairing the device, then set an incoming port to COM7 and an outgoing port to COM8. This works like a charm with my bluetooth and X50V running WM5.

BuyGPSNow is replacing the unit, even though it is a few weeks out of warranty.

Kudos to them for going above and beyond the call of duty.

Ended up sending e-mails/tech support tickets back and forth with them, but that was much easier after the help you folks provided here.

Thanks to you all for your help in diagnosing the problem.
