Dell GPS Navigation System

I was given the 3 CD Dell GPS Navigation System. I don't have the Bluetooth GPS receiver, the adapter or car charger. Are the CDs worthless? Anyone know how much is the Bluetooth GPS receiver, the adapter & charger without the CDs? Or can you only buy it as a set? :rolling:

hm... how did u get the CDs :)

im not sure, but i think Dell's software is locked to their Dell BT Gps and would not respond to other GPS receivers....

you can only buy Dell's package as a set, but u can find on ebay just their receiver, or get another package

No. I have Dell GPS software only and it works with both CF and BT.

For Dovid - just for the record I use a Globalsat BC 337 and a Holox BT 321

Why do you need both?

Because originally I had TomTom 5 as well as Dell, but I found, via this forum, that TT5 does not work with CF devices, so had to get a BT device.

I now have TomTom 6 which has no such problem

So, you use a Globalsat BC 337 and a Holox BT 321 and TomTom 6? Why do you need 3 devices? Am I missing something here?

TomTom 6 is the software, which I use with the Bluetooth and Compactflash devices. I started of with a Compactflash receiver, the BC337, but found it would not work with the TomTom 5 software which I then had. This is a known fault which I was unaware of.

I therefore bought a Bluetooth device, the Holox BT 321, which works perfectly well with TomTom 5.

When TomTom 6 came out I upgraded. One of the improvements with TomTom 6 is that it works with Compactflash receivers.

I am left with two devices, and two sets of software, only one combination of which I use at any one time, normally the Holox and TT6
