External antenna...

Since I use my Navteq GPS system only while I drive my Honda, I was hoping to install it in the car... permanently. Reason: BT receiver tend to travel all over my dashboard and it just drives me crazy. My question is then, which external should I buy? (Dell BT-309 receiver has an external antenna port).

They are all about the same. What's important is to get one with the proper plug size to fit the socket on the receiver.

BTW, if you want to stop it travelling all over, get one of those "sticky" pads for cell phones. This is what they look like. You can find them in just about any electronics store that sells cell phones or accessories. Just plunk the GPS on the pad and it won't move anywhere.
