GPS Control Panel missing on x51v?

I've had my x51v for a couple of months and I seem to remember that there was a GPS control panel on the System Tab. Reading some of the other posts in the GPS forum my suspicions are confirmed. Mine is gone and there is nothing in the Windows directory that resembles a GPS control panel. The registry seems to think there is one. HKLM>ControlPanel>GPS Settings shows Group = 2, which I assume is the System Tab (2nd tab) and Hide = 0.

Anyone have a suggestion to get it back short of a hard reset?

I'm with jackb_g. You don't need it unless you're sharing it (com port) with multiple applications. I've managed to share one signal to 4 applications successfully, sad to say that it is one sorry piece of software that I wish Dell didn't include with the X51. GPSGate does a better job with port sharing.

I don't need it either for iGuidance 3.01 but I'm curious where it went to.

FYI...For anyone else who's lost the GPS control panel, follow the steps in this link and after a soft reset the control panel is back.
