X50v + tt6 + compactflash gps?

I have a dell axim x50v pocket pc and tomtom 6 install on it with Australian maps. Tomtom seems to be working fine, but i need a new gps receiver. I like the idea of a compact flash gps rather than bluetooth, as it only requires a single car charger.

i was looking at a: Holux GR271 GPS or;
Globalsat BC-337
off ebay.

I have heard that compactflash gps may not be comatible with tomtom and I was wondering if anyone has a similar setup on there axim, or had any luck with a compact flash gps on tomtom 6.

Also, any comments on either gps receiver? are they worth it? Are they compatible with TomTom 6 and axim x50v?

I would go for BT GPS, yes you will probably need two chargers but the BT GPS will last for about 12 hours and depending on battery size in the Axim it will last about 6 hours (2200mah).

this means you can charge one and use the other.

The BT GPS also can be used outside the car with the above battery times, whereas the CF card will run the axim's battery down pretty quickly.

I have Holux GR271 GPS , TomTom 6.02 working on my Axim X51v working without problems.
No special drivers needed, TomTom automatically finds the GPS

Thanks for the replies, is there any special setup i have to do to get the compact flash working with tomtom, which mode do i need to set?

As for the bluetooth i think ill only do that as a last resort, but i would only use the gps in the car, and probably always have it plugged in, the battery doesnt seem to last very long and i dont want to have to keep charging different units.

Thanks all.
