Bluetooth COM trouble with MS Streets and Trips

I bought the Dell bluetooth receiver and GPS software, which I have really enjoyed.......but since obtaining a copy of MS Streets and Trips (pocket version) I've wanted to try and compare it's abilities.

Trouble is I keep getting a message that the COM link is not functioning. I've tried to use all 7 COM ports to no avail.

Wondering if anyone else has had trouble making this work?

Perhaps only one GPS software programs or bluetooth links can be set up at any one time?

I have the same problem. The bluetooth CoPilot antenna seems to work fine, but not with MS Streets & Trips. It use to work OK, but I can't recall what I changed to cause it to not work any more.

What Axim are you using? I had major problems with Pocket Streets on my old Toshiba with a bluetooth card. Seems that this software works properly with certain built-in bluetooth. I had the settings set correctly, but it wouldn't work with Com4, even though I had 3 other pieces of software that worked fine. On my X50v, set it to Com7 (or can pair as Com8 with WM5) and it works fine.

Ding, ding, ding! Give the man a cigar...he got it right in one guess.

Only one application can see the GPS data at a time, unless you use one of the utilities to branch it to more than one COM port or allow virtual ports. GPSGate will let you do that. On WM2005 there is a utility like GPSGate that does that, too.
