Need Some Help With TT6

I need some help with TomTom 6 with my Axim x51v. I think my problems are with the software itself, but I've found the TT website and customer support to be absolutely useless. Let's not get me started on the "instruction manual."

Can someone give me the quick and dirty on:
Making a point be a waypoint/point of interest? For some unkonwn reason, even though EVERY OTHER GPS I've used lately has my street in its bank, TomTom believes it doesn't exist. Thusly, I'd like to step outside my place and make a waypoint s my home. Even if I can't make it home, if I have one I call home, that'll suffice.

Also, is there a way to have it show you where you're going/a map without you telling it where you want to go? For me it is only showing me one if I tell it to navigate, though it seems equally useless at that.

All in all I'm frustrated with this software. Maybe I should've gone for what I know works well and gotten the Garmin software instead of the stupid TT.

Thansk

You can add any GPS position as a Favourite. Go to "Add Favourite", then "GPS position"

Obviously it cannot tell you where you're going without you telling it where you're going, but to just get simple map of where you are with your position shown and updated as normal you simply drive without putting in a destination.

If you can't do either of these you have a fault in your system
