I've ordered a Dell Axim 51v with the GPS Navigation System (Cabled) - yes I'm cheap and old fashioned.:hide:

I've spent the last hour and a half looking through the various posts concerning the GPS Navigation System and GPS in general.

I think I read this but really want to confirm, if for some reason I'm unhappy with the Navteq software that comes the Dell GPS Navigation System can I install something else? Or will the Dell GPS Navigation System only use the Navteq it came with. Sorry if this is redundant question but after 1.5 hrs of reading posts I just wanted a simple answer. TIA

yes, u can install any GPS software compatible with ur X51v(windowsMobile5)... i have Destinator 6 and GPS Tuner, thought im using Dell's BT GPS(just change the COM port/GPS settings in ur Axim and u'll be fine)
