Bluetooth/GPS Pairing Problem

I am having problems with the bluetooth pairing between my X51V and my GPS device. The X51V connected for about 9 months and then developed a fault and refused to connect for no apparent reason.
Dell exchanged the unit for a refurbished one which also would not connect to a GPS. Dell exchanged this for a further one which also would not connect with the GPS. I have two GPS devices which connect to an Axim X30. I purchased a third new GPS but this also refused to pair with th X51V. The X51V will connect to a bluetooth mobile phone. Discusions with Dell reveal that the newer units have ROM A12 installed which has a different bluetooth system. To me this could be the source of the problem and am wondering if anybody else has suffered with this problem or better still knows of a solution. Incidentally I am still waiting for Dell to come up with an answer.

Moved to GPS forum. What GPS? What software? What messages? What are your settings? What else do you have installed?

Bluetooth/GPS Pairing Problem

[/FONT]
Thanks for your interest.
The Gps devices I am using are Globalsat, Holox BT321, Generic from Ebay similar to Holox BT321.
Have hard reset all the X51Vs and have attempted to pair the GPSs before doing anything else therefore nothing else installed on X51V.
On gfoing through the paiting process the GPS devices blink for 11 seconds and then revert to a constant blue light having lost any connection.

Dell has come up with the solution. The A12 needs a different set of instructions for pairing. Problem solved.

Aximsitebluetoothicon Same issue..

I am getting a third refurb unit from dell. My X51v freezes when I turn Blutooth on and open another app. As soon as I close anything my PDA freezes. I talked to Dell and they will not give me straight answers. I read in alot of sites that the X51 has bluetooth issues but Dell is not confirming and Issue. I did get them to promise a full refund if it does not work with the new system they are sending me. I would rather it worked, i like my axim but I travel alot with my company and I am tired of cabled gps solutions. After all we paid to have bluetooth did we not..
