In-vehicle navigation system user-survey – results

In October 2006 I posted a questionnaire for navigation system users. Many thanks to everyone who participated in this survey. Please follow the link below for the results.

Apologies for the delay in making these results available. The data analysis took longer than anticipated and I wanted to ensure they were presented as comprehensively as possible. Additionally I had to devote the past month to preparing for an end of year PhD review meeting.

Interesting finding. I would've thought novices would be drawn to the eyecandy of the more visual systems, while more advanced users would prefer voice guidance while driving.

Yeah, that's a bit hard to believe that only a quarter believed their learning of new routes was decreased because of using GPS programs - in reality, I'm sure it's much higher than that as previous studies showed according to your summary.
