Good morning to all,

I am new in the forum and spent 2 hours with reading posts about Axim 51v and navigation software and hardware. I did not find exactly the answer to my question:

I have an Axim 51v (ROM A???, how do I find out which ROM?) that came with the Dell navigation system (cabled, the Disk says: P/N RC496 Rev. A01, the software says: Netropo 1.0.5.5).

I want to use the software with a bluetooth receiver from Holux (either 236 or 240). Will it work? Does anyone have experience with this combination?

You are in luck, the Holux Slim240 or 236 works with the 51v. The Dell navigation software should not be a problem. It may be a good idea though to upgrade your ROM to version A12. No specific experience with the Dell software though because I use TomTom Navigator 6 which is good and up-to-date.

Update: I bought the Holux Slim 240 and it works fine with the Dell Navigation Software.

I have an x51v with wm5, dell navigation software, and odyssey mobile with a holux m1000 gps receiver. The odyssey software works great but I cannot get the dell nav software to connect with the holux. Please help!!!

Dump the software, it is pretty cool, but cost $99 when you need to update the maps, I bought one off Dell for $225 and when I loaded it up, it said I needed to upgrade. Huh? Brand new and I have to update for $99? Maps that was in there was for 2005, but it gets worse, the upgrade is for maps dated 2006. I guess no one told navigator that is 2007. Lucky for me Dell decided to take it back and refund my money. I will try to find a similar one but with either free map upgrades, or at least cheaper ones.
