Detail maps with garmin Que

I had to reinstall the Garime Que program on my Axim X30. I installed the base map to the built in storage, and the detailed maps to a storage card. Now I can't get the detailed maps to show on the screen. I can delete them but, I can't use them. How do I get the detailed maps show in the detailed maps section. The maps have been unlocked. Thanks in advance.

did u change the GPS hardware (e.g. GPS10) recently? Or is it the same GPS10 you are using with the GarminQue? If it is the same GPS10 hardware as when you bought the GarminQue program (e.g. GPS10 Deluxe package), it should be fine upon re-installation. The GPS10 hardware is tied to the unlocking of the detailed maps.

The detailed map is still locked on your PDA. It will unlock once you plug in your GPS to your PDA. It will stay unlocked after that.

I think Fry is right once you make a Bluetooth connection you should be alright.

The maps were unlocked before. I unlocked them again and reloaded new maps to the storage card. I know it worked because when the Que program started it loaded the maps took about a minute. The base map is there, but I still can't see the detailed maps, but I can delete them if in the delete section. If I drive around will that help? I also didn't put the base map were the program wanted. It's on the Axim just not were the program wanted. Will that cause any problems. I think I will just delete the program and start over. The first time I loaded the Que program after I bought it, I didn't have any problems at all. I just love technology.

All is well. I drove for about 3/4 of a mile and the detailed map came up. Thank for all of the replies.
