Hello all
I have the IOGear BT GPS and it works really well with my X50V. I have noticed a few spots where the maps are a little dated, new developements and roads, etc.
I do not think that I can get a map update from IOGear but remember someone mentioning on another thread that this looks like the same software as another popular GPS (don't remember name and copuldn't find the thread when I search...)
Do you think there is any ay to use the map from another software to update the ones supplied by IOGear?

From IOGear website, it looks just like iGuidance. I don't think you can use the maps from iGuidance to update IOGear software. However, when you purchase iGuidance, it will come with both application and map.

Thanks, I think you are right. So can I assume that any BT GPS hardware should work with the iGuidance? In other words, if I purchase the software I should be able to use my ioGear hardware?

That said, I guess the decision really is to go with iGuidance or some other software that will work with the ioGear hardware. I'll need to search this site a little to get some opinions about the best GPS software.

I guess this erves me right for bying a product witout checking if it was supported for updates. It WAS a good deal at the time.....

iGuidance will work with any NMEA compatible hardware. I don't think you will have any problem running IOGear BT GPS with iGuidance.
