Do I have to buy 2 GPS softwares

Hey yall, I would like to ask one question. I just bought a bluetooth gps device with iguidance mapping software for my x50v. My wife has a x51v and I know she is going to want the software on hers as well. Can we share this software or do I have to buy another one for her. Thanks.

Software is generally licensed to 1 PDA, or, multiple PDAs, but only 1 can be used at a time, OCN6 is an example of this.

I'm not sure what the iGuidance license states about installing on multiple PDAs, but I would bet that it least restricts the use to only 1 at a time.

You'll have to buy another copy if you and your wife want to use it at the same time.

Just install on both machines, but don't use them concurrently.

OCN6 runs directly off of its SD card, so you can move it around between machines all you want (in fact since it MUST run from its SD card it only possible for a given copy to run on a single machine at once - so there are no regcodes, and installation constits of sticking the SD card into the slot and answer a few configuration questions. Which also allows the OCN people to offer a 30-day return policy on the software!).

Skip the nudge, nudge, wink, wink crap. This is almost always a violation of the license agreement, and as such illegal.

You want to do your research before sprouting your crap?

iNav and its Licensors grant you a perpetual, non-exclusive, and non-transferable License to use, in accordance with the permitted use set forth in this EULA. You may use one copy of the enclosed Software and Data on a single computer, with a single CPU, and a Windows CE device at any time. You may not network the Software and Data or otherwise use it on more than one computer or mobile computer at the same time.
That statement does not exclude the possibility of installing on two different machines, but using only one at a time. If they only wanted you to install only one copy and only use that one machine, they would not have included the last sentence "use it on more than one computer or mobile computer AT THE SAME TIME".
