OCN6 with X51v A12 ROM issues?

I bought OCN6 for use in my X51v with A12 ROM. I found that it often will report I am using out of date maps, referring me to OnCourse Navigation's web site. I filed a support ticket, ultimately sent the SD back to them, and they could not reproduce the problem using an X51v with A06 ROM.

In most cases some of the map files do not properly load though different map files are affected on each load. When I tried another SD card with music files I was able to load them and could save and execute an Excel workbook with no failures.

I have done a hard reset and added only OCN6 but still have the same issue, in fact the latest version seems to load badly more often that an earlier version. I have tried it with no CF inserted with no change as well.

Has anyone using OCN6 with A12 ROM run into similar issues?

I have an X51v with A12 and am not having any issues. Occasionally I was getting up pop-up telling me the map data was out of date and I should go to the igo site to update. I recently install the OCN6 Plus update and have not gotten the update message since. It hasn't been very long since I updated and I haven't used the program a lot since but it appears to have taken care of that problem. So far I have only used MN & WI maps and have not had any issues.

Thanks for the reply, Mike. The OCN gang had me return my SD and tested with their A06 X51v with no failures. I have accepted that I have a defective SDIO port as the issue but am reluctant to return it ti Dell for a refurbished unit. I suspect, with your comments and many other SDIO related comments on this site, that the Axim SDIO port is an issue. OCN sent me a replacement SD with OCN6+ on it but it does the same map thing.

I have found that I could copy the OCN6 folders to CF and it will run flawlessly. The original SD card has to be in its slot in order for OCN6 to find that card's ID though.

Is this the error your are receiving?
"File Format error: \SD Card\OnCourse\maps\USA_Minnesota.fbl"
I received this for the first time this morning. I re-inserted the card and launched the program again without error. I have run the program a couple of times since then without issue. Weird

I also got the out of date map warning again. Before updating to "Plus" is was directing me to the igo site, now it is directing me to the OnCourse site. Did support tell you how you were suppose to update your map data?
