ok.....

I have an X5 with PPC2003, Rom A05

I purchased TT6 with maps of Western Europe online (892 mb download .exe) and I am installing via WIn XP & ActiveSYnc 4.5.

I have tried 2 ways on install, installing all to the SD Card and software & voices to the internal memory and then the map data to the SD card, both ways the installer seems to complete, but there is nothing to lauch the program....

I know the x5 in not supported but i read that people are running it, so am i having a random problem or am i missing something ???

All assistance is appreciated

If you tap on Start, is there a link to TT in the drop down menu?

Thanks for your reply, no i get nothing, there is nothing listed under programs or in add/remove programs, althought the map info is on the SD Card. There is nothing under the programs folder either...

If you can find the .exe on your SD card (in the TomTom folder or whatever it may be called), you can create your own shortcut. In File Explorer, just tap and hold to copy, then navigate to Windows - Start Menu - Programs and tap and hold in a blank space and select Paste Shortcut. You will then find it in the Programs folder.

Have you had any luck yet? I am trying to find out if I can use mY X5 with TT6 and get the latest maps. TomTom say they do not support the X5, so am nervous about plunging in without some confirmation.

Thanks for your messages, sorry for the delay in my reply but i was on holiday

It turns out the installer i purchased & downloaded, is not TT6, but the map update only. So i am still running TT5, but with maps v 6.60

I am still trying to find out if I can run TT6 on my x5 (I think a friend has upgraded to TT6 so i may see if i can set it up on my x5)
