Question newbie of GPS, need some software recommendation

I ordered this bt GPS module due to very good feedback
Newegg.com - i.Trek M5+ Bluetooth GPS Receiver - Retail
but I found it doesn't come with map software (though I'll use it with Google Map, I still need a map software in case I don't get phone reception where I am)
will use it with X50v and HX2495; and laptop (will use either MS or IVT stack, runs Google Map only on laptop)
here is a question: which map software is good for new GPS users (must support both WM2003 and WM5)?
I'd like to have Final Fantasy I-VI style viewing, or view from top, and the map data will be stored in 16GB CF

Unless you want to buy more than one copy, I think the only software that legally permits use in more than one pda is OCN6. The security is on the card, so you cannot have it in more than one at a time, hence, they don't care about how many devices in which you use the card.

Review is here.
