I wouldn't waste my time.... I waited months for Delorme to make Topo 6 WM5 compatible only to find out that when the program TRIES to run all it really does is turn your PDA or Smartphone into a brick. That simple... It won't function.... You can go to the Delorme site and check out their forum....Nothing but complaints... And they don't care. Because now they have their own handheld unit that runs the program and they want you to buy it instead.

Try Backcountrynavigator instead. It's free to try for 10 days! And there is an excellent support system already in place.

Main - BackCountry Navigator

And when you decide to buy it.... It's only $30!!

Go to c:\delorme docs\mobile maps.

Copy in the PDB files you want. I hate syncing maps, because it tries to put them where I don't want them. As for the statement that it won't run on WM5, I can tell you it does using the SA2007 engine on my WM5 X50V (Topo 6 uses StreetAtlas to view the maps on the PDA and is not included). The maps look great, but the problem is that you can't zoom itor the maps to a level that makes them really useful. I also agree that if I hadn't spent the money already I wouldn't have purchased it (but you can find StreetAtlas 2007 for $19 from time to time, I got it at BestBuy on sale).

When you have a few extra dollars available, get a copy of BackCountry Navigator as it's vastly superior and you won't be sorry. This is what I use almost exclusively and they have support that's second to none for those rare problems!

Thanks

I have street atlas 2007 and the 2007hh, but if the maps are not usable i need something else as i belong to a K-9 unit and need this for search and rescue. my teams cover three states with both search and rescue and law enforcement so i need the maps preloaded as when we get deployed we nave no time to download and set up maps. so any suggestions as to what to use? Thanks Bobby
