You got it -- strange isn't it that installing the program doesn't prompt you to install the maps and the sound folders, but you have to go back and copy them manually?

I may consider IG4, and install on CF card (will be used on X50v, it may be difficult for HX2495 to handle 3 bt connections, and I may be unable to use other applications when GPS is active

Well this is frustrating. I have loaded the IG4 to main memory, and am trying to copy the maps and sound to the CF card. All I get is "Cannot find map data files. Please make sure the storage card is properly inserted."
Do you really have to install the program and all the maps to the same location? Guess I'll try....

Should find it as long as you install it in a directory in the root of the drive named
inav iguidance\
Make sure that you have both the maps and the scansoft directory copied in full. What I did was to copy it to the hard drive, then to the card reader as it copies rather slow directly from the DVD to the SD card for some reason.

Well, it works now...but not quite the fix that I had hoped.
The answer for mine was---Don't install IG4 to your Axim via Vista Ultimate x64 and Mobile Device Center. I took all over to my old XP and Active Sync,,,,IG4 works just fine now.
P.S. - From what I said above, this maybe a x64 issue....

One more thing... Why after doing the install, does IG4 force you to reboot after install? Especially if you are just trying to install to Axim and not PC of any kind. Happened on Vista and XP.

I'm having problems loading the maps. Installed IG4 on laptop and PPC. Then, loaded the INAV folder (maps and scansoft) onto the 2 gig storage card using a card read/writer (not by Active Sync). When I start IG4 on the PPC, it still shows "Cannot find map data files". Very frustrating

OK, got the PPC to work! But, when I try to start it on my laptop, I get "Text to Speech files not found". So, here we go again. What to do?

Copy the entire directory of maps and sound files to C:\\iNav iGuidance\ and things should work.
