I am having problem getting a copy of "GPS view" software that will enable me to change the configuration of my mtk unit. I tried getting it from Gpspassion but I could not get it to work. If anybody can help me I would appreciated.:)
What kind of device/model do you have? Are you trying to change configuration via bluetooth? If you are, your device might need the 1 ohm resistor hack to enable your pda or computer to send a command to your gps device. Page1 of mtk tweaks at gpspassion. By the way GPSView from gpspassion is working with my device.
I have a Qstarz BT-Q1000 logger but I have not been able to download GPSview form gpspassion. Every time I try to download the program I get an error "cannot open file: it does not appear to be a valid archive. If you downloaded this file, try downloading the file again.":( I am planning to change configuration via usb.

Hi Jr,
I downloaded it just now from gpspassion (mtk tweaks thread) and it seems to be working for me. If you are downloading it from the PDA then it will not be a valid archive. I downloaded mine using the desktop. Hope this helps. If you still cannot get the download, I can send it to you by e-mail. Or you can try this link under drivers and tools
I tried to download from both the URL you suggested and gpspassion, but still got the same error. :azz I am also using a laptop and not my PDA, so I do not understand the problem I am having. So I would really appreciated if you could e-mail me the file. :) My email is jesus1rocha@hotmail.com.
Thank you very much for all of your help.:approve:
I tried the zip file and got the same error, do not know what is wrong with my zip program. As for the actual program file it was block, so could you resend me the actual program file to jesus.rocha@nsc.com it should not get block there. I hope:)
