To add to chocophile's response, what do you want to do with the receiver? Sounds like driving navigation. So you do outdoors stuff? Fish? Hunt? Hike?
Consider other uses as well. If you like to engage in outdoor activities, for example and want to use the GPS for logging or orienteering, the wired model might be a nuisance.
Having used a bluetooth Holux 236 for a while I'm glad I went bluetooth and wouldn't go otherwise. I actually went BACKWARDS. I bought it for fishing and ended up with it in the car for driving.
Consider your uses and POTENTIAL or POSSIBLE uses you may have. I was kicking my self in the butt for not getting a logging model.
