yesterday took the plunge and upgraded x50v to WM5 A02, so far everything works very nicely to my surprise.
I have older iteration of Dell GPS software + BT-309 GPS receiver. Everything worked very well in WM2003. I tried several updates from Dell website yesterday, and couldn't get Dell GPS software to detect the receiver. MS BT detects and pairs with BT-309 no problem. Any ideas if this can be resolved? Thank you!

There are two issues, first you need the various patches from Dell to make the GPS software work with WM5, if you search the forum you will find the link as it is a common question. Once this is done look at this post for help with setting up the blue tooth

Whidh update should I used, 3689 or 3697?

Reinstalling from scratch and running upgrade 3689 did the trick, after 5 or so trials with ports I found a combination that made GPS aware of the receiver. I did pair the BT receiver and Axim before launching Dell GPS software.

Are you saying that using WM5 you were able to pair the GPS to your axim and use the Dell Software?

yes, I did

Strange, on my X51V WM5 the Dell software refuses to work if the BT Receiver is paired.
