Axim x51 Earthmate Blue Tooth Connection Problem

I just got a new X51 with WM5 on it. I have a earthmate blue logger GPS that connects with BT. Delorme's directions are to create a BT partnership that outputs data through a com port. But the only com ports listed are 7 & 8. I'm supposed to go to my GPS program and receive the data through the com port, but the only two listed there are 1 & 3.

Anyone know how to add/free up a com port so that i can output the data and pick it up on the same one.

I checked the "GPS" option in the system tab too. i thought it might take the info from the com 7 port and funnel it to the com 3 port, but it's not doing that.

Delorme wants me to pay $40 to update my software, but i wonder if i can get this to work.

GPSGate will do what you want, but the utility on WM05 will do that, too. I don't have a 51 but someone who has one may be able to help you.

Thanks for your suggestions. Since A new version of the software is cheaper than GPS gate, i just upgraded my software and now everything is working fine.
