I'm also interested in finding out more information about Pocket Streets, specifically with the Globalsat GPS. Any and all information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

A gps that can output NMEA data is required. I have a stand alone gps (an eTrex) that works ok via a dodgy serial cable/ powered null modem setup. (Search the gps forum for more info on this).

I can't speak for the CF card gps, in fact I'm quite interested to know how they communicate, is it via a comport style interface?

Is NMEA-0183 newer that NMEA 2.0?

NMEA-0183 is the standard (vs 0180 and 0182), the version like v2.0, v2.1, v2.2 generally refer to the version no of the 0183 standard. I think most CF gps receiver are NMEA-0183 (v2.1 or v2.2) compliant nowadays. It would be safe to assume that S & T will work all CF gps receivers.......
