I am looking at getting some GPS navigation software for my x51v and I wanted to try out some Nav software.

I've been using my i-blue/x51v setup for a while for some Geocaching, but would like to use it occasionally for turn by turn driving as well. I don't really want to just buy and hope it works, I want the trial stuff.

I'm taking a vacation in a couple of day and I'm hoping to give a few pieces of software a real world test...as I don't be familiar with the city I'll be in.

Just give me links to free trials for software that will give me turn by turn directions.

There aren't any. The vendors simply don't offer trials anymore. Mapopolis used to, but they've gotten out of the individual marketspace. Sorry.

I believe Odyssey Mobile by Infogation has a 14-day free trial for one region. It can be found at Odyssey Mobile Pricing- Infogation Corporation. I have not ever tried it, so I personally can't comment on it.

Yeah, I forgot about OdysseyMobile. They have problems with VGA displays, but it might be worth a shot. If you have the problem, it's not subtle--it happens as soon as you fire it up. Fortunately, if it happens, a soft reset and uninstall makes it go away.
