Hello folks.

I'm in need of a coordinate converter for the Dell Axims (or similar devices).

Here's the scenario: I own a trusty Dell X5, and where I work (Alberta, Canada), we've developed an in-house desktop coordinate converter to go from UTM NAD83 to UTM NAD27, or UTM83 to LAT/LONG 83, or LOCAL (TOWNSHIP BASED) to UTM83/27, or any combination of the above mentioned. The problem is that when I'm travelling, I don't have access to a laptop to access the work network.

This is why I'm looking for a mobile solution for a PPC. In talking to the person that built the in-house solution, I understand that the data files needed are substantial, but still small enough to fit onto the newest 2GB SD cards.

Can anyone help? Or perhaps you've heard of a program for the PPC's that will suffice?

There is an Excel spreadsheet I found here: UTMConversions1.xls

It's just a little over 100K and I was able to open it on my X51 so I think it will work on an X5. You may need to tweak the spreadsheet a bit to make it easier to use on the PPC.
