Tracky 3.0 has been released today, see
also the press release
<
http://www.trackthisout.com/press200...Tracky3.0.html> . In Tracky
3.0 the ease of use improved a lot. It has on-screen buttons which
directly invoke the most commonly used tools. A real full-screen mode
makes better use of your display. A different move mode allows you to
rapidly focus the screen.
It introduces a lot of new features. One of them is that you have
seamless access to several databases on internet. You can search for and
get detailed information of nearby:
* businesses (Google Local Search)
* photos (Panoramio.com)
* Wikipedia entries (Wikipedia.org)
* geo-caches (Geocaching.com)
* weather stations
Furthermore, Tracky now offers real address-to-address navigation. In
combination with:
* the Search tool you can easily get to interesting POIs
(restaurants found via Google Local Search, places found via Wikipedia,
etc.),
* the Geocoder tool you can easily get to a certain address, and
* manually added POIs you can for example easily find back your
car after a long day of shopping.
Last but not least, Tracky offers some additional tools. The Speed alert
tool warns you when you exceeed a configurable maximum or minimum speed.
The Stopwatch tool works as a normal stopwatch, but this one also
triggers on speed and/or distance!
Many more improvements exist. Amongst others, the hybrid Google Maps
work now on all platforms. A
free trial version is available for
download <
http://www.trackthisout.com/Download.htm> . The trial version
works for 15 minutes, but you can re-start it as many times as you want.
A license costs 30 Euro. An upgrade fee of 15 Euros holds for those who
have a valid 1.x or 2.x license. For those who bought a license on 1st
Jan 2008 or later, a free upgrade is offered.
